Volunteers

ANZSA is currently looking for volunteers who can help with any of the following:

  • Organisation and fundraising for the 2010 ISA Annual Conference to be held in Australia.
  • Coordination and assembly of the ANZSA newsletter which will be released quarterly.

As a not-for-profit organisation, ANZSA relies heavily on support from its volunteers. ANZSA volunteers contribute in a number of areas and at varying levels of commitment, helping to ensure that ANZSA’s important projects are undertaken effectively for the benefit of future parents. Members of ANZSA are encouraged to volunteer whatever skills they have and to consider involvement in a committee. Volunteers do not necessarily have to be ANZSA members and we welcome all who would be willing to contribute.

Volunteers can assist ANZSA in various ways:

Fundraising

ANZSA encourages volunteers to organise raffles, drives and other fundraising activities and events. This money goes towards funding ANZSA's important projects, meetings and events, and collaborative research. Alternatively, you will soon be able to make a donation and receive a memorial card.

Services

ANZSA is always looking for any volunteers who can provide assistance with specific skill areas including marketing, public relations, IT and web-page support, programme and event coordination, etc. These services can be coordinated by individuals or groups and are can be tailored to suit your schedule.

Committee involvement

Volunteers join a committee to work as a team toward a goal or project such as Public Awareness and Health Promotion. Regular meetings and projects with team members are required. Committee members are required to be members of ANZSA.

We thank all of those who volunteer their time and effort to help ANZSA promote the understanding of, and the reduction in stillbirth through conducting high quality collaborative research and clinical practice improvement activities.
